Our company, Machi, is a new firm with 15 employees. We are trying to solve the confusion for all VE students, especially new incoming students who have not fully experienced this community. In addition, we want to solve the lack of communication the VE world has to the real world. We are a website that offers a variety of podcasts for teens and young adults. However, our main focus is to connect the VE world to the real world by actively updating our community with weekly informative podcasts. As a company, we will generate revenue from advertisements throughout our podcasts. Machi will be located in San Diego, California for the time being and will be a B corporation. B corporations differ from other corporations in the sense that they aim to have the highest purpose, accountability, transparency, social and environmental performance. For our purpose we are committed to creating public benefits and sustainable values in addition to generating profit. We take full accountability in considering our company’s impact, both negative and positive, in today's society in order to create a long-term sustainable value for our shareholders. We want people to rely on Machi so we aim to be as transparent as possible, reporting yearly to our shareholders and public as well.
